Be update regarding COVID-19

Be takes the health and safety of its clients, staff, and volunteers very seriously. We are working to protect you during the current spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Australia.

Be has a comprehensive Coronavirus Response and Management Plan which includes heightened infection control practices. We wish to reassure the community that all staff uphold the highest levels of hygiene and we have introduced extra cleaning for our offices and vehicles.

We continually review our practices following the advice from the Department of Health.

Service Changes

To help slow the spread of coronavirus in the community, the Australian Government has advised that organised gatherings and meetings should be limited.

As a result, Be has decided to cancel all social support group events and we hope to provide an update regarding commencement date in the near future. Be clients will be contacted by a member of our customer service team to discuss.

These changes will NOT affect transport for clients to medical and health related appointments or vital services such as assisted shopping.

If you are concerned about the effect on your Be services, please contact your Be Regional Office or call 1300 761 011.

Be will continue to closely monitor and follow the advice from the Department of Health. For now, we encourage you to monitor your own health and follow the advice of Department of Health and updates from official sources.
