Be welcomes Patricia Sparrow to the board of directors.
Patricia Sparrow is a social policy leader and innovator with a passion for health equity. An experienced political and policy advocate she recently steered the aged care sector through the most turbulent period in its history including the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the COVID19 pandemic.
Patricia has been CEO of national member based peak bodies, worked within Government as both a Federal Ministerial Advisor and a State Government bureaucrat, and is an accomplished advocate for both not-for-profit service providers and older Australians.
With extensive experience in aged care, community development, disability services, youth affairs, health and intergovernmental relations, her unique range of experiences mean that Patricia’s leadership approach is strategic and nuanced, inclusive and collaborative. Her breadth of knowledge, depth of experience and constructive approach enable her to achieve results that benefit the organisations she has worked for and those who rely on them.
Be’s Board of Directors are a diverse, highly skilled, passionate and innovative team who are well-equipped to lead Be into the future. Patricia’s appointment adds significantly to the organisation’s skillset depth.
