As you get older, living independently in your own home can become more challenging. If you’re finding it harder to do the things you used to, this is the first sign that you might be ready for some help at home.

Asking for help doesn’t mean losing your independence; it’s quite the opposite. Getting a little help with daily activities means you can stay independent in your own home for longer. In fact, a little support can lead to a much better life.

Getting help at home

Help at home looks different for different people. It may mean getting help with shopping and cooking. Or it could be receiving personal care to bath, dress, and get in and out of bed. It may even mean getting modifications to improve your safety and movement around the house.

Receiving some help at home can enable you to continue to live independently in your own home for as long as possible. Our care team will work in partnership with you, to understand you and your individual care needs. They can then develop a plan to deliver a range of flexible care and services that maintain your independence and wellbeing.

Types of home care services

Domestic Assistance

We pride ourselves on helping you maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home for your own peace of mind and well-being. Whether it’s help washing dishes or mopping the floor, getting a little help can sometimes make the difference and support you to live in your own home independently for as long as you like.

Personal Care

Our professionally trained care teams can help you with your everyday personal care needs to maintain your routine, focusing on hygiene, accessibility, personal grooming and other personal services depending on your needs. We can support you as much or as little as you like; from occasionally trimming your nails to daily showering, menu planning to cooking with you – even help with simple tasks can make all the difference.

Flexible Respite

We understand the important role that carers play and how essential it is for them to sometimes have a break. Respite services allow carers to get that much needed rest, take a holiday or time out, or attend to other important matters.

What’s the difference between Home Care Packages levels?

There are four different levels of Home Care Package, depending on your care needs:

  • Level 1: Basic assistance – Help with tasks such as cleaning, grooming, meals, shopping and transport. Usually one or two visits a week.
  • Level 2: Low care needs – The same as Level 1, but can be three or four visits a week from an aged care worker.
  • Level 3: Intermediate care – More support at home, most days of the week. Can include visits from a care worker, nurse, and medical staff.
  • Level 4: High-level care – For high level or complex care needs, which can include daily visits.

How much does aged care cost?

The cost of aged care services varies from person to person. It depends on the care you are eligible for, the aged care provider you choose, and your financial situation.
While the Australian Government may contribute to the cost of your care, you will also be asked to contribute if you can afford to.

Our friendly team is ready to help guide you through the whole process. Call us today on 1300 761 011.
